Oprah Winfrey’s hand photos are very abundant on the Internet, which made my research easier.

As I usually do, I started to compare the length of her fingers with the width of her palm, and I had a difficult time since they seem to be changing all the time! Besides the variety of angles of the pictures, this also reveals a highly flexible hand, which is the sign of great adaptability.

However, the thumb is not as flexible, which shows a very reliable personality. It is also extremely long: people with long thumbs usually control their environment and make things happen. I think that a black woman who was born in poverty but eventually became a billionaire, hosting along the way a long-lasting and extremely popular talk show, creating her own magazine and building a television network, attest to this fact.

If we compare the phalanges of the fingers with each other, we can see that the middle phalange is always the longest one. To Oprah Winfrey, social and human interactions are of the utmost importance, much more so than physical comfort (base phalange) or mental endeavors (tip phalange).

The ring finger is longer than her index finger, denoting her desire to shine and share and a typical feature of anyone in show business. The Sun mount – below the ring finger – is also high on the hand, emphasizing this feature.

Looking at the lines, we can see a strong life line circling the mount of Venus without any break. This indicates an abundance of energy. The fact that it starts very high on the palm, in the mount of Jupiter, shows that Oprah likes to be a leader and wants things to be done her way or, should I say, the O.W.N. way!

At their origin, the life line and the head line are separated. This reveals an independent way of thinking and a desire not to follow the family values. As we have already seen, Oprah has a pioneer mind and is not afraid to innovate.

Oprah’s head line, which is high on the hand – especially on the right hand – discloses an emotional personality. Her mind cannot stop the expression of her feelings, and her frequent tears during live shows demonstrate this fact.

Finally the destiny lines of both hands are starting from the mount of Luna: she definitely needs an occupation where she can be of service to people.

In summary, Oprah’s hands offer no real surprise: they are totally in line with the compassionate, emotional, strong and lively personality she has shown her audience for many years, and she is bound to express for a long time!
